We are the Knights of Columbus St. Peter Damian Council 8699!

The Knights of Columbus St. Peter Damian Council 8699 meets at St. Peter Damian Catholic Church in Bartlett, IL on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 8:00 PM in the basement of the Chapel.  If you are a visiting Knight from another Council, please join us.  If you are new to the St. Peter Damian community, and are interested in learning more about the Knights of Columbus, please contact GK Gerold Abraham at 630-830-0111 or email   This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Who Are the Knights of Columbus


The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal organization of Catholic gentlemen.  The Knights of Columbus is one of the most active Catholic organizations today, with more than 12,000 councils world wide and 1.7 million members.  The Knights of Columbus St. Peter Damian Council 8699 actively supports Catholic causes and charitable organizations in Bartlett, Illinois and the surrounding communities.  The Council has approximately 100 members who work together to make the parish and community a better place to worship and live.

Some of the Council's activities include:

  • Hosting several fundraising pancake breakfasts during the calendar year
  • Hosting a St. Joseph's Day Table
  • Participating in the annual Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive in September each year in support of the Mentally Handicapped campaign
  • Sponsoring the ongoing Commemorative Brick drive to help fund the parish's Respect Life Monument
  • Providing the food and cooks for the annual end of the school year picnic at the Clare Woods Academy in Bartlett for mentally challanged students
  • Participating on various Council bowling teams which participate in the Knights of Columbus State and National bowling tournaments
  • Attending Kane County Cougars baseball game as a family affair
  • Participating in the manufacture and distribution of ceramic ornaments in support of the Council's Keep Christ in Christmas campaign

Respect Life Memorial Commemorative Bricks

The Knights of Columbus St. Peter Damian Council 8699 is very active in both raising money to help local organizations as well as raising awareness of important social and religious issues.

One of the more popular fundraisers for the Knights of Columbus St. Peter Damian Council 8699 has been the sale of commemorative bricks which can be engraved with your choice of text and one or more of three available religious symbols of your choosing.  Once the commemorative bricks have been engraved, they will be placed in the area surrounding the Respect Life Monument adjacent to St. Peter Damian Church.

Orders for commemorative bricks for the year 2008 are now being taken.  The commemorative bricks will be engraved and placed at the Respect Life Monument during various times of the year, depending on the number of orders received.
